Omg guys! Look, I'm alive!
Taking a short break from essay writing to let everyone know that I am in fact, still in the land of the living.

* Saw Muse in concert on Tuesday and HOLY FUCKING CHRIST THEY ARE SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED, I CAN'T EVEN. I was seriously standing there in awe, letting their talent wash over me like some ocean of musical genius. (Omg words! I can use them! Perhaps too enthusiastically.) I mean, at the end of the concert they sounded JUST AS good as they did at the beginning. How? I..wha? Do they get tired? Are they superhuman? I'm seriously considering this as a possibility, ya'll. And dear sweet Jesus, Matthew Bellamy is a sexy bastard when he sings Undisclosed Desires. I mean more than usual. (Also, he rocked sparkly pink pants. :D) I could go on, but then this entry would turn into a giant concert report and this is supposed to be a SHORT break from essay writing! Focus, Missa, focus.

* In the past week and a half I've read both Hot Target, Force of Nature, and am now about a third of the way through All Through the Night. All three books are part of Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter's Inc. universe, and feature one of the OTP-est OTPs to ever grace the land of fiction, Jules Cassidy and Robin Chadwick. I can't explain how wonderful they are, you really have to read the books to understand. Jules and Robin's story isn't the leading romance plot in either Hot Target or Force of Nature because Brockmann mostly writes het romance and it is my understanding that she apparently had to fight to get Jules and Robin's story in them at all. But Jules became a fan favorite, so she was able to publish All Through the Night, which is all about them. ;___;

I really enjoyed the het romance in Hot Target, and skimmed the het romance in Force of Nature because OMG I HAD TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH JULES AND ROBIN. Why can't all books she writes be all Jules and Robin all the time? D: This sad untruth is mostly forgivable because what we do have is AMAZING, GUH. One more bit of incentive: Jules is an FBI agent and Robin is an actor...and the one who is closeted for much of the series is not the FBI agent. FTW! You can order them for, like, fifty cents on Amazon (which is what [personal profile] mjules did for my sister and I when we repeatedly ignored her urging us to read them, lol). Go forth! Order them and bask in the glory of their OTP-ness.
